This year at Barcamp we plan to have an area for playing music. Most of the time, this will just be a free-for-all jam area. However, we hope to have some actual bands as well.

Live Bands:

Country Mouse (probably canceled)

Kumar McMillan (DJ Set)

  • Soul Funk Reggae and if you're lucky, some 60s country
  • Set Time: 9 o'clock or so
Anybody else that shows up and wants to play!


If you or someone you know is in a band and would like to play for free beer and food, please contact me with your time preference (if any) (email address below). Or, just show up, and we'll schedule you in (this is a pretty ad-hoc conference). If you can't play after 9PM, we'll have to keep you in our small "fishbowl" room, but if you can come that late, we can put you in our main room. It's up to you, though you might consider scheduling a time so we can add you to this page if you think more people would show up if they expected you.

Free-For-All Jam:


This is in a small room we call the "Fishbowl". Very limited room for audiences, but it's got a glass wall so people can watch. We have a drum set, an electric bass without a working amp (my bad :(), an acoustic guitar, and two acoustic banjos.

We're in decent shape as far as equipment, however if you have equipment that you wouldn't mind lending to us for the weekend, could you contact me? Email address is below. In particular we're still hoping for:

  • Electric guitar/amp
  • 2 Amps that can take microphones with 1/4 inch jack (I already have 2 mics)
